No pain, whose gain?

How far we have come from Trump’s pinocchial pledge, ““When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One.”  Oh gee, nevermind. The conning is over, the fleecing of the American people has begun.  First it was:  “There’ll be a little disturbance, but we’re okay with that” and now, gloves off, it’s:  “no pain, no gain.” Whose pain? Ours. Whose gain? Theirs.  Trump is not on our side. The Republican House budget proposal calls for tax cuts for the wealthiest businesses and families. Who will pay for these cuts? We will. We who benefit from government safety nets like Medicaid ($880 billion over 10 years.). We who need affordable housing ($60 million stalled). We farmers and fishermen whose livelihoods  rely on meteorological forecasts, or simply if we are in the path of a hurricane (Cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). We who want to fly safely (ending  the collective bargaining agreement with the TSA, cuts to air traffic control staff)  We who just want some guacamole with our chips (tariffs, SI!). Our pain. Trump and his billionaire bros’ gain. That’s the standard, corrupt Trump way. Hell no. Spread the word. Reach out. Write, call, protest.  Make noise. We got this.
