There were two bright spots and a sign of Republican worry these past few days to warm a weary Democrat’s heart. With no help from our pseudo-Democrat Senator Fetterman (his next public appearance is to help Dave McCormick promote his new book), it is clear that grass roots is the way to fight the insidious MAGA/Project 2025/Trump regime. And it’s working: Democrat Andrew Malone scored an upset win over Republican Josh Parsons, flipping a PA State Senate seat and Dan Goughnour won a special PA State House election, allowing Democrats to preserve a one seat majority in the State House. Both candidates worked hard to reach out to constituents, to address fears and concerns, to listen to how Pennsylvanians were feeling instead of telling them what they should feel. Yay team! The resistance is happening, and Trump knows it. Why else withdraw Elise Stefanik’s nomination to be UN Ambassador, forcing Stefanik to take one for the MAGA team in order to preserve the very slim Republican majority in the House of Representatives? They’re worried. And they should be. We are many and we are not giving up. We are protesting. We are making noise. Buckle up. We got this.
