November 6

I am still here. A lone small voice. I still stand. I still say no. Amidst the grieving and the gloating, there is denial, then anger, and then… resistance. I am still here. I still say no. No to the voice of the malicious, misogynist influencer who crows, “Your body. My choice. Forever.”  No to the voice of the embracer of the great replacement theory and rape culture who warns Taylor Swift,  “I will give you a child.” I am still here. A lone small voice. I still say no. No to the voice of the neo-nazi who exults, “Cheaper gas will make it easier to spread White Power across the country.” No to the right wing influencer who proclaims, “Women, back to the kitchen, gays back in the closet, trannies back to the asylums.” No to the incoming president who  rode into office on  this dark Maga repudiation and vilification of all of us who are different, who won’t fall in line, who scare you to death.  I am still here, a lone small voice. I will not be quiet. I will not be silenced. I am not alone. We are still here. We still stand. We still say no. We will resist. Some day, one day, you will listen.

Think of the children
